The Chester County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired has a new Executive Director!

Chad Thomas brings 20 years of experience in public health, community engagement and board leadership to the position. He has worked in emergency preparedness outreach at the Chester County Health Department and, more recently, at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Mr. Thomas has led a variety of collaborations focused on protecting the health of vulnerable populations in Southeastern Pennsylvania. He looks forward to reconnecting with partner agencies and ensuring the ability of CCABVI to provide services to people who are blind and vision-impaired throughout Chester County. Mr. Thomas holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Ohio State University and Project Management Certification from Public Management Institute.

CCABVI empowers individuals with vision loss to maintain independence and achieve life goals. Through home consultation and referrals, this non-profit organization provides advice on topics including home safety, assistive technology, carrying out financial transactions, traveling, voting, and emergency preparedness.
